Two weeks into the job. Twenty-one years old. Career, ostensibly, over.
What I didn't know then, what took me years to understand, was that the suit wasn't the issue. The issue was that I don't fit into systems that require conformity to function. The person who can't fit the existing system is exactly the person who ends up building new ones.
What followed was a rundown deli in Glebe that we turned into the biggest seller of Lindt chocolate in the Southern Hemisphere.
